Joseph Plautz Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Plautz (Wausau, Wisconsin), who passed away on April 18, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joseph Plautz to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Plautz and Dora Plautz; his brothers, Charles Plautz, Eugene Plautz and James Plautz; his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Plautz and Carol Plautz; and his son-in-law John Kassing.

He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Plautz (Frese); his daughters, Jan Kassing, Jill Hitz (Mark) and Julie Cook (Tim); his grandchildren, Daniel Kassing (Nicole), Matthew Kassing, Rachel Kassing, Olivia Hitz, Julia Hitz, Madeline Cook and Josiah Cook; his great grandchildren, Kinsley and Aubrey Kassing; his sister Karen Jauch (John); and his sister-in-law Donna Ray. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran School.
