It is with sadness that the passing of Lana M. Markey of Wausau, Wisconsin is shared. Lana, born on August 7, 1948, passed away on August 11, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Loren Hoss and Mary Wagner (Winston); her sister Mary Beth Lackey (Chuck); and her brother-in-law Tom Reinicke. She is survived by: her husband Larry Markey; her children, Ned Markey (Molly), Megan Markey, Matt Markey and Elizabeth Chawla (Kavi); her grandchildren, Lilly, Claire, Brynn, Elm, Aya and Rohan; and her siblings, Bruce Hoss (Linda), Debbie Reinicke and Tom Hoss (Beth).
In lieu of flowers, Lana wished for donations to North Ster Friesians to help Megan carry on her legacy and continue her dedication to the Friesian breed.
