He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin and Pearl; his wife Ruth Carlson; his son David Carlson; his sister Marge; and his great grandchild Matilda Carlson.
He is survived by: his children, Bob Carlson (Deb) of Kiel, Susan Carlson of Chanhassen, Mike Carlson (Carolyn) of Eau Claire and Rick Carlson (Terri) of New Berlin; his grandchildren, Sara Carlson, Dan Carlson, Anna Carlson (Brett Petrie), Catie Carlson-Prueher (Allen Prueher), Emily Carlson, Ashley Carlson, Megan Littel (Ethan), Alex Carlson and Jacob Carlson; his great grandchildren, Kaylee, Carter, Sullivan Carlson, Booker Prueher, Bella Petrie and Arnetta Littel; and his sister Ruth Olson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials go to St John's Episcopal Church in Wausau, WI.
