He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Henning and Mary Carriveau (Nepp); his wife Yvonne Henning (Peterson); and his siblings, Ronald Nepp, William Henning, Jerald Henning, Dennis Henning and Marilyn Kayl (Henning).
He is survived by: his daughters, Laura Olson (Thomas), Elizabeth Henning (Brian Bornheimer) and Amy Henning; his granddaughters, Emma and Hannah Olson; and his siblings, Edward Henning, Ervin Ruhe, Sr., Norman Ruhe, Jr., Eadie Berndt (Henning), Carol Wollner (Ruhe) and Sharon Varisco (Ruhe). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
