He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Abt and Alma Abt (Dellmann); his daughter Robin; his granddaughter Kayla Abt; his brothers, Edward and John Abt; his siblings-in-law, Julie Abt and Bill Small; his parents-in-law, Alvin and Joyce Lodholz; and his brother-in-law Randy Lodholz.
He is survived by: his wife Barb; his children, Michelle Abt, Todd Abt (Monica), Heidi Bowers (Robert), Kelly Abt (Tricia Blair), Jason Abt (Cara) and Jennifer Talbert (Stewart); his grandchildren, Seth Abt (Nikki), Jordan Abt (Carly), Shelby Schnell (Erich), Samuel Bowers (Hailey), Cole Abt (Xianna Huggins), Cade Abt (Jen Plevak), Ariana Talbert, Hayden Talbert, Samantha Schmid (Khristiian) and Austin Schmid; his great grandchildren, Otto Abt, Archer Abt and Sophia Abt; his sister Doris Small; his sister-in-law June Abt; and his best pal Snipper. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In his lifetime, he donated just shy of a bulk tank full.
