He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert J. Kemp and Helen A. Kemp (Leitermann); his wife Mary Ann; his son Keith Allen; and the parents of child, Herbert and Helen Kemp (Leitermann).

He is survived by: his girlfriend Sylvia Koch; his daughter Kathryn (David Bohan); his grandson Phillip (Emily Groh); his children, Craig (Kathy Zeinert, family: Katelynn, Christopher, New Berlin) and Pamela Coffey; his grandsons, Jason and Joshua; his son Steven (Colleen, family: Keith, Brooklyn, Brynna); and his great grandchildren, Amina Itani and Cameron Kemp.
