She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard and Vera; and her brother Gary. She is survived by: her husband Howard; her children, Todd Opal (Kris), Michelle Opal (Mitch Bottomley), Madeleine, Maureen Roux (Bob) and Tim Opal (Lori); and her siblings, Cheryl and Eugene. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
