He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Bantes and Mary Bantes; his wife Rose Ann; and his sisters, Lydia Beilke-Szymanski and Florence Berens.
He is survived by: his daughters, Julie Berg (Paul), Karen DeBaker (Erik) of Portland, OR and Jennifer Rovn (Chris) of Minneapolis, MN; and his grandchildren, Ana DeBaker, Davis and Madeline Rovn. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
