He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Rust and Stella Rust (Huhn); his wife Sandra Kohlmeier; his son Eugene; his foster daughter Lolly Bohn; and his siblings, Lloyd, Dallas, Eugene, Dale, Charmaine, Verla Belle and Danielgene.
He is survived by: his children, Donald Rust of Poynette, WI, Todd Rust (Debbie) of Waupun, WI, Kim Culver (Wayne) of Menasha, WI and Jodi Ori of Fond; his grandchildren, Derek, Daniel, David, Destiny, Alexis and Brandon; his great grandchildren, Katalina, Wyatt, Francine, Xhian, Skylar and Camilla; and his brother Darryl.
In Lieu of Flowers, the family requests that Burdelle's memory be preserved through donations to Fortune Lake Lutheran Camp.
