She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard and Irene Honl; her husband David Tompkins; her stepfather Evon Oleson; her father-in-law Harold Tompkins (Mary); her brother-in-law Donald Tompkins; her siblings, Mary Peterson, Ray Honl and Tom Honl; her brothers-in-law, Duane Peterson and Jack Curtis; and her daughter-in-law Mary Schuler Tompkins.
She is survived by: her cousins, Church and Donna; her children, Captain Dawn Tompkins and Craig Tompkins (Lynn); her grandchildren, Audrey (Joe), Alan (Jill), Noah, Parker and Lainey; her sons, Dr. Mark Tompkins and Dr. Dean Tompkins (late Mary Schuler); her grandchildren, Briana (Travis), Annelise (Nick) and Brennan; her daughter Dale Tompkins (Beth); her grandchildren, Caitlyn (Max), Casey (Aleksandra), Hannah, Ruby, Lily and Josephine; her son Mike Tompkins (Lori); her grandchildren, Seth (Rachel), Olivia (Jake), Chloe (Josh), Rinnona, Lunesta, Gabriel, Elijah and Elaina; her child Chris Tompkins (Ruth); her grandson Daniel; her siblings, Jerry Honl (Sandie) and Joan Honl; and her sisters-in-law, Nancy (Ray Honl), Roberta and Jaqulynn (Tom Honl). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
With her heart and soul never far from the church, Donna believed in the virtues – living her life of faith displaying integrity, charity, compassion, and humility.
