Diane J. Phillips Obituary
Diane "Blanche" J. Phillips, age 73, of Wauwatosa, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025, at Reena Senior Living in Fort Atkinson. Born October 1, 1952, in Milwaukee to Norbert and Lydia (nee Knispek) Phillips, Diane graduated from South Division High School in 1970. She enjoyed a long career as a claims adjuster with American Family Insurance. Diane was preceded in death by her parents and her longtime partner, Robert "Bob" Hines Jr. She is survived by her daughter Tanya (Kevin) Ryan, grandchildren Aiden and Ava Ryan, family, and many dear friends. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Reena Senior Living for their wonderful care of their "rebel resident".
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 10:00 AM until service at 11:30 AM at Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home, 10121 W North Avenue, Wauwatosa. A Celebration of Life event will follow for all who knew Diane ("Blanche"), to share memories and stories. Casual attire is requested. In lieu of flowers, memorials directly to the Wisconsin Humane Society in Diane's honor are appreciated—she always said she liked pets more than people.
