He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Mackey (Nee Kalinich); his parents, Elmer E. Mackey and Ann M. Mackey; and his sister Ellen M. Mackey. He is survived by: his children, Lucy Bilaver (Damir) and James Joseph "JJ" Mackey (Erin); his grandchildren, Nikola and Neven; and his sibling Jean A. Mackey.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Becker Ritter Funeral Home & Cremation Services (14075 W North Ave, Brookfield, WI 53005). A vigil service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the East Residence, Guardian Angel Chapel (10100 W Bluemound Rd, Wauwatosa, WI 53226). A burial will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery (2601 S 14th St, Manitowoc, WI 54220).
