Kenneth W. Gray Sr. Obituary
Kenneth Wayne Gray, Sr, 74, of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, passed away after a long battle with COPD and heart disease on June 18, 2025 with his wife Sandy by his side.
Born in New Castle, Indiana, Kenny proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War (1971-1972) and in the Air Force Reserve (1983-1986). His courage and dedication earned him the respect of his fellow soldiers and the gratitude of a nation.
Kenny worked for Briggs & Stratton before retiring. He enjoyed bowling, golf, attending baseball games (and even umpiring Little League games back in the day), actively "watching" any Indiana basketball or football game on tv.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Sandy; his children and step-children: Shelly Peterson (Mark), Kenneth W Gray Jr (Lindsey), Sheri Weber, and Adam Weber. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Kaitlyn Weber, Tracie Gray, Ayden Kresge, Brett Peterson, Haylie Gray, Ella Kresge, Megan Peterson.
He is also survived by brothers and sisters, Suzy Smith (Don), Mike Gray (Barb), Pam Miller, Linda Gray, Hank Gray, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Gray and Pat York.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the local VFW chapter or Honor Flight Milwaukee in Kenny's memory.
Kenny will be remembered for his strength, patriotism and the unconditional love he always gave to his family and friends. He really had a knack for knowing just how to make a person laugh and was everyone's biggest cheerleader…he will be deeply missed!
