Leonard Scharmach Obituary
We announce the death of Leonard Scharmach of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, who passed away on July 3, 2026, at the age of 92. Leonard will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Leonard will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Leonard will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Leonard’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Leo and Angeline Scharmach (Harowski); his wife Mary Rose Wimmer; and his brother Max Scharmach. He is survived by: his siblings-in-law, Pat "Agnes" Pire and David H. Wimmer. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and other special family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Alverno College, Jesuits at St Camillus, or St. Camillus Foundation (for the missions) would be appreciated by the family.
