She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Whalen and Dorothy Whalen (Diehl); her husband George Briggs; her sons, Tim Briggs and Bill Briggs; her daughter-in-law Michele Briggs; her sisters, Kathleen Rethamel and Pat Muellner; and her siblings-in-law, Ruth Briggs, Sharon Van Hees, Fred Rethamel and Greg Muellner.
She is survived by: her sons, George Briggs (Laurie) and Mike Briggs; her daughter-in-law Julie Pfluger; her brothers, Larry Whalen and Dan Whalen (Gail); her brothers-in-law, Jim Briggs and Kurt Godden (Ann); her grandchildren, Randy Briggs (Brooke), Craig Briggs (Ashley), Allison Longhenry (Dylan) and Lydia Pfluger (Damien Rasmussen); and her great grandchildren, Lyman, Hannah Briggs, Lane Longhenry and Braylee Briggs. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home (26530 Lakeland Ave N, Webster, WI 54893). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
