He was predeceased by: his siblings, Lorraine (Henningfeld), Elvira (Kaiser) and LeRoy; and his son Scott. He is survived by: his wife Marlene; his sister Audrey; his children, Cheryl Mayer (Joseph), Jim and Steve (Stacey); his grandchildren, Andrew Mayer (Beth), Kyle Mayer, Ryan Mayer, Julia Radke Schneck (Zach) and Kathleen Radke; his great grandchild Brynn Mayer; his brother-in-law Mike Janas; Kitty, Jason and Stacey.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Notre Dame School of Milwaukee would be appreciated.
