She was predeceased by: her mother Debra Passehl; her grandparents, Rudy, Sylvia Passehl, Har and Connie Sommer; her uncles, Greggo Sommer and Bob Siekert; and her aunt Linda Sommer.
She is survived by: her father Tom Passehl (Debra Passehl); her husband Tom Popies; her siblings, Jessi Steenbekkers (Jorrit), Todd Passehl, David Passehl (Leah), Troy Passehl (Heather), Amy Popies and Ben Popies; her stepchildren, Thomas and Erin; and her pets, Hank and Lacey. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, and a large extended family.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union St, Hartford, WI 53027). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dodge County Humane Society in Abbey's honor and her love of dogs.
