He was predeceased by : his parents, Earl Wanty and Catherine Wanty; his spouse Beverly A. Bojack; and his children, Teri Liukonen and Scott Wanty.

He is survived by : his children, Patrick Wanty (Lorrie), Kurt Wanty and Julie Podjaski (Mark); his son-in-law Larry Liukonen; his sister Marie Rae (James); and his brother-in-law Duane Bojack (Jean). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the Schmidt Funeral Home of West Bend (629 Cedar St, West Bend, WI 53095). A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials to Peter Wollner Post 288 American Legion in Cedarburg, Lt. Ray Dickop Post 36 American Legion in West Bend or the Antique Snowmobile Club of America in Eagle River.
