He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford and Nina Gardner; his siblings, Robert Gardner, Chester Gardner, Marge Lippert (Albert) and Jean Schiller (Rupert); and his siblings-in-law, Patrick Johnson and Linda Frost.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Gardner; his children, Brian Gardner (Susan) and Sandra Malotky; his grandchildren, Alex Malotky (Passion), Laura Malotky, Alyssa Gardner and Grant Gardner; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Gardner, Susan Beavers (Phillip), Mary Hirsch-Johnson, Gale Olds (James), Patty Hale (Tom), Kristal Jacobson (Richard), Theresa Glaza (Robert), Rochelle Todd (Steve), Dennis Hirsch (Geri) and John Hirsch. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Cedar Community or Peace UCC in Jim's name are appreciated by the family.
