He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard W. Swift and Imogene R. Swift. He is survived by: his sons, Dustin Swift and Derek Swift (Stacy); his siblings, Jean Swift (Kevin Boynton), Mary Kaye Ernest (Donald), Patricia Schmitz (John), Jim Swift (Ann) and Carol Schelke (James P. "JP"); and his friend Al's Hideout. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives.
