With solemn reverence, we commemorate Rhea R. Schmidt of West Bend, Wisconsin, whose life came to an end on May 15, 2026 at the age of 86, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Mielke and Louise Mielke (Luepke); her husband Harvey N. Schmidt; her sister Joan Schuppel; and her siblings-in-law, Alfred Schmidt (Florece), Dorothy Heinecke (Pete), Margie Schmidt, John Schmidt, George Deuber and Herbert Schmidt.
She is survived by: her daughter Gail Nickels (Wayne); her grandchildren, Ashley Selner (Casey) and Travis Nickels; her great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Johnathon, Abraham and Genevieve; and her siblings-in-law, Richard Schuppel, Clarence Schmidt, Betty Schmidt, Arlene Deuber and Dorothy Schmidt. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM at the Zion Ev. Lutheran Church (6430 Co Rd D, Allenton, WI 53002). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 at the Washington County Memorial Park (3358 W Paradise Dr, West Bend, WI 53095).
