It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard T. Schmidt of West Bend, Wisconsin, who passed away on August 17, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Schmidt and Ruth Schmidt; his parents-in-law, Clarence and Bernice Erickson; his son Richard Jr.; and his siblings-in-law, Richard Hahn, Donald Erickson and Bonnie Ripley.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Erickson; his children, Michael (Lisa), Marita Heintz (Jeff) and Robert; his grandchildren, Jessica Davis (Danny) and Matthew Heintz (Melanie); his great grandchildren, Amelia, Piper, Cassidy and Danny Jr.; and his sisters, Carol Hahn and Diane Rice (Steve). He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
