Virgil L. Mikkelson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Virgil L. Mikkelson of West Salem, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 28, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Mikkelson and Bessie Mikkelson (Anderson); his daughter Kimberly Von Ruden; his siblings, Richard, Roger, David Mikkelson, Beverly Nelson (Mikkelson) and Judy Winger (Mikkelson); his siblings-in-law, Maynard Nelson, Erwin Winger and Pat Mikkelson; and his siblings' children, Tammy Long (Nelson) and Roger Mikkelson Jr..
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Emma and Brody Von Ruden; his former wife Susan Mikkelson (Tauscher); and his son-in-law Travis Von Ruden. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Savior's Lutheran Church (359 Leonard St N, West Salem, WI 54669). A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
