With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Elizabeth J. (Betty) MacFarland of Westby, Wisconsin, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Elizabeth left this world on May 12, 2026 at the age of 93, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivar Rognstad and Thelma Rognstad (Stalsberg); her husband Paul MacFarland; and her siblings, Odell Rognstad, Elaine Boyles, Louise Yant and Shirley Olson.
She is survived by: her children, David MacFarland (Trinie), Daniel MacFarland, Ann Ferkingstad (Timothy) of La Crescent, MN and Sara Yuds (Kelly) of Fall River, WI; her grandchildren, Rachel MacFarland, Trina Eberhardt (Joe), Laura Ethen (James), Erin Ferkingstad, Eric Yuds (Angela) and Kaeson Yuds; her great grandchildren, Irelyn, Lyla, Camden Eberhardt, Anna, Evan Ethen, Gavin and Adelynn Yuds; and her siblings, Mary Moe (Curt) and Lester Rognstad (Vicki). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bethesda Lutheran Brethren Church (212 W Park St, Westby, WI 54667). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the Bethesda Lutheran Cemetery (210 W Park St, Westby, WI 54667).
Memorials may be given to Bethesda Lutheran Brethren Church.
