He was predeceased by : his parents, James E. Daines and Evelyn O. Daines (Solmonson); and his brother Jimmy Daines. He is survived by : his granddaughter Chelsea; his wife Mary Lou Daines (Huston) of Westby; his children, Greg Daines (Jenny) of Westby and Brenda Maxwell (David) of Westby; his granddaughters, Rachel Maxwell of Minneapolis and Rebecca Maxwell; and his siblings, Ruth Wild (Teeny) of Viola, Paul Daines (Rhonda) of LaFarge, Sharon Corcoran (Richard), Donna Rigby (Terry) of Westby, Myra Daines of LaFarge and John Daines (Colleen) of Ontario. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Bethel Butikk and Sugar Creek Bible Camp.
