He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Sidie and Sylvia Sidie (Hanson); his grandfather Robert; his siblings, Vern Sidie (Scottish) and Evonelle; his brother-in-law George Wyman; his parents-in-law, Alice and Lester Sagmoen; and his sons-in-law, Charles Lee and Michael Burigsay.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Sagmoen; his children, Steven Sidie (Tom Larsen) of Milwaukee, WI, Wayne Sidie (Laurie) of Turlock, CA, Ann Gibbons (Tom) of Coon Valley, WI, Julie Lee of Red Wing, MN and Kathryn Burigsay of Castro Valley, CA.; his grandchildren, Emily Betschart (Tony) of Modesto, CA, Leah Sidie of Modesto, CA, Haley Solem (Dan), Brenna Gibbons (Tristan) of Madison, WI, Tanner Gibbons (Lexi) of Westby, WI, Jack Lee (Kathleen) of Bloomington, MN, Alyssa Ulvenes (Derek) of Red Wing, MN and Gunnar Burigsay (Vina) of Toluca Lake, CA.; his great grandchildren, Penny Betschart of Modesto, CA, Finn Solem and Charlie Renee Ulvenes of Red Wing, MN.; and his niece Pam Benzing (Pete) of Rockland, WI. He is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Westby Coon Prairie Lutheran Church, the Westby Area Fine Arts Foundation or the Norseman Booster Club.
