He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Jay and Lily Pickens (DuVoisin); and his in-laws, Patricia and Harold Erboe. He is survived by: his wife Stephani Pickens (Erboe); his son Evan (Sara); his granddaughter Charlotte of Westfield; his siblings, Terry, Andrew, Fred, Dennis, Michael (Donna), Margaret (Kurt) and Marycatherine; and his sister-in-law Jill (Chris). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
