He is survived by: his parents, Alyson Janke (Schlobohm) and Terry Janke of Westfield; his children, Ashton and Emma; his siblings, Tim Janke of New York City, NY and Margaret Erdman (Nate) of Hartford, WI; and his nephews, Hunter, Maddox and Dawson Erdman of Hartford, WI. He is also survived by cousins and friends.
In 2020, Steve successfully transitioned this initiative from a government-funded effort to a for-profit company during a global pandemic, developing a globally recognized best practice for recruiting military talent.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to a fund being established for his children's education.
