He was predeceased by: his parents, Arlington Stearns and Mabel Stearns (Nelson); his wife Sharlene (Mellen); and his daughter-in-law Pamela Stearns. He is survived by: his children, Dan Stearns (Ann), Debbie Poitevent (Russ) and Tim Stearns (Lisa); his grandchildren, Travis Stearns (Jemm), Nicole Sherf (Jeremy), Timothy Stearns (Angela), Jackson Stearns (Marisa), Stacy Braatz (Dustin) and Zachary Poitevent; and his close friend Edith Butt. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church, the Weyauwega Area Fire Department or the Humane Society of Waupaca County.
