It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Cortlyn Almquist of Whitewater, Wisconsin, who passed away on March 10, 2026, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelvin Almquist and Agda Almquist (Samuelson); his nephews, AJ Almquist and Curt Woodin; and his brother-in-law Ron Kuehn.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Truelson; his children, Jim Almquist (Sheri) and Andrea Schulz (John); his grandchildren, Payton, Sydney Almquist, Janelle and Trevor Schulz; his siblings, Doug Almquist (Sharon), Caryl Dirks (Ron), Annie Stimson (Grant), Richard Almquist (Karen) and Eavon Woodin (Jerry); and his sisters-in-law, JoAnn Bringolf (Bob) and Kay Kuehn. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made for an Ag Scholarship to be established in Cortlyn's name or Trinity Lutheran Church.
