James Merlin Zanton Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Merlin Zanton (Whitewater, Wisconsin), who passed away on January 22, 2021, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Merlin Zanton and Darlene Zanton (Wegner); his brother Robert Zanton; his grandson Daniel Zanton; his brother-in-law Larry Taugher; his parents-in-law, Joe and Marie Simon; and his sisters-in-law, Katie Simon and Adele Simon.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Simon; his children, Anna, Sam, Henry, Luke, Maggie and Jennifer Mood (Michael); his grandchildren, Zeke, Abe and Jonah; his daughters, Patricia Zanton and Marie Stapleton (Adam); his grandchild Corinthea; his daughter Elizabeth Maloto (Jon); his grandsons, Elijah and Isaiah; his child Thomas Zanton (Caitlyn); his grandchildren, Cora and Bailey; his son Stephen Zanton (Mariah Cooper); his sister Judi Taugher; and his siblings-in-law, Jody Zanton, Greg Simon (Dianna), Jerry Simon (Denise) and Dan Simon (Lori). He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
