She was predeceased by: her husband Kermit Strait. She is survived by: her daughters-in-law, Kelly Strait of Whitewater and Julie Strait of Elkhorn; her grandchildren, Rachel Strait of Greenfield, IN, Megan Aponte (Ehen) of Hartford, Kyle Strait (Megan) of Delavan, Carl Strait (Emma Gagliano) of Delavan, Yvanna Strait Witt (Donaven) of Milwaukee and Catherine Strait (Olivier Amouriq) of Nantes, France; her great grandchildren, Mercedes, Lillye, Maximus, Landon Fillebrown of Greenfield, IN, Kayleigh, Sophia, Lucas Aponte of Hartford and Bodie Strait of Delavan; her sister Joyce Egstad of McFarland; her sons, Michael and Scott; her parents, Martin and Catherine; and her sister Anna Marie Edwards. She is also survived by many cousins and friends as well as many relatives.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be given to the UW-Whitewater Foundation for the Little Red School or Halvorson Log Cabin; or the First United Methodist Church; or Rainbow Hospice.
