We announce the death of Phyllis Marie Schimming of Whitewater, Wisconsin, who passed away on October 3, 2026, at the age of 90. Phyllis will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Remke and Vivian Remke; her siblings, Dale, Dean and Darlene (John G.); and her son Michael.
She is survived by: her son John (Dena (Schneeberger)); her daughter-in-law Linda Schimming (Bollweg); her grandchildren, Emily (Mike Mulcrone), Allison (Zach Skibinski), Mackenzie, Cora, Mark (Leanne Whiting) and Gable; her great grandchild Mick; and her nephew Ray Joe Johnson (Renee Boland) of Decorah.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Assumption Catholic Church (207 Canton Ave W, Canton, MN 55922). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
