He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis H. C. Eckstein and Patricia Jane Eckstein (Ray); his sister Jean Merry; and his siblings-in-law, Steve Albee and Sandra Friedenberger.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Ellen Carley; his sons, Shawn (Heather) of Reedsville, WI and Todd (Lorraine) of Olympia, WA.; his siblings, Judy Albee of Houghton, MI., Janet Fritz (Ed) of Franklin, WI, Lewis, Jr. of Oshkosh, WI and Curtis of Green Bay, WI.; his brother-in-law Arthur Merry of Oshkosh, WI.; his grandchildren, Chloe Eckstein of Duluth, MN, Noah Eckstein, Kimberly Keeling (Jacob), Erin Payne (Conley), Dylan Eckstein (Karley), Brenna Eckstein and Dana Eckstein (Oscea); and his great grandchildren, William and Zoe Keeling.
In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
