He was predeceased by : his parents, Norman Sauer and Irene Sauer (Baker); his brother Jerry Sauer; his brothers-in-law, Ron Kaczmarek and Emert Stacker; and his nephew Jason Thompson.

He is survived by : his wife Sandra Anunson; his sons, Peter Sauer (Kayla) and Jack Sauer (Tina); his grandchildren, Stella, Delaney, Miles and Katelyn; and his siblings, Sally Stacker, Mary Kaczmarek, Deb Thompson (Jeff) and Ron Sauer (Barb). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
