He was predeceased by: his father Robert Schmid Sr.; his brother Carl Schmid; his sister-in-law Tina Schmid; and his aunt Carol Stanisrowski. He is survived by: his mother Dorene Schmid (Kehrberg); and his siblings, Eddy Schmid, Mike Schmid, John Schmid, Bill Schmid, Philip Schmid, Bobby Schmid (Stephanie), Patty Schelvan (Lance) and Nancy Schmid. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as other extended family.
