He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Halbur and Geraldine Halbur (Davis); and his siblings, Fritz, Ronald, Kenneth Halbur, Donna Schudy and Patricia Schade.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Halbur (Nugent); his children, Jan Halbur (Sara), Troy Halbur (Patty) of Wisconsin Rapids and Chrystal Heinrich (Neil) of Nekoosa; his grandchildren, Howard Heinrich (Alice), Codi Halbur (Marisa), Kelsey Hildebrand (Chase), Drew Heinrich (Brie), Cort Halbur (Katherine), Jared Halbur (Payton) and Alec Heinrich (Lavanya); his sister Joan Valenti of California; and his brother-in-law Bob Schudy of Wisconsin Rapids.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a Mid-State Technical College firefighting / paramedic scholarship fund in Bill's honor, supporting the next generation of firefighters who serve with courage and dedication.
