He was predeceased by: his parents, George Wantlin and Susan Wantlin (Schindler); his spouse Lovey Anne Young; and his brothers, William "Bill" Wantlin and George E. Wantlin.
He is survived by: his children, Tina Erikson (Darrell) of Medford, Terrie Jo Kern (Kurt Marquardt) of Stratford and Tobin Wantlin (Deanna Schmelzer) of Owen; his grandchildren, Amber, Whitney, Nate, Makayla, Parker, Christian, Evan and Gracie; his girlfriend Verlaine Gaede; and his sisters-in-law, Janice Utech, Paulette Rippley and Sheila Hughes (Mike). He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
