She was predeceased by: her parents, Armas Tuominen and Esther Tuominen; her husband Darrol Thays; her son Craig; and her sister Beverly Koepsel.
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Scrobell (Daniel) and Toby Capaul (Larry); her grandchildren, Jesse Kutz (Timothy) and Ashley Pullara (Frank); her great grandchildren, Mason Kutz, Hailee Kutz, Mia Pullara and Niccolo Pullara; and her sister Sharon Robison. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
