With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Wesley Messer Jr. of Accoville, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 3, 2025 at the age of 55. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert "Wes" Messer and Linda Messer; his brother Johnny "JP" Messer; and his grandparents, Aubrey "Hobie", Viola Messer, Jack and Gladys Farley.
He is survived by: his children, Derek Wesley Messer (Alexis Toler) of Accoville, Marissa "Reese" Dawn Messer (Jj Ward) of Man and Tate Edward Messer of Man; his grandchildren, Kendi Nicole, Ridge Wesley and Vada Leslie; his brothers, Kevin Shane Messer (Amber) of Robinette and Todd Messer (Stephanie) of Kistler; his siblings' children, Jacob Weston Messer of Man, Amy Kiser (Jimmy) of Dunbar, Stacy Welford (Chris) of Hurricane, Rachel Toler (Corey) of Accoville and Erikka Browning (Dillon) of Amherstdale; his uncle Aubrey "Peanut" Messer (Debbie) of Tennessee; and his friend Jimmy Chester of Florida. He is also survived by numerous great-nieces and nephews, extended family members, and countless friends.
A graveside service was held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 2:45 PM to 3:15 PM at the Highland Memory Gardens (42 Highland Memory Ln, Chapmanville, WV 25508).
Pallbearers will be Family and FriendsIn lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Krantz McNeely Funeral Home to help with Bobby's funeral arrangements.
