Almeda Ellard Obituary
We announce the death of Almeda Ellard of Alderson, West Virginia, who passed away on August 20, 2026, at the age of 87. Almeda will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her pet Meow Meow; her husband Raymond Ellard; her daughter-in-law Sandra Ellard; her brother Dennis Workman; her parents, Virginia Harnest Ely and Buford Burns; and her grandparents, Nell and Guy Harnest.
She is survived by: her nephew Matthew Workman; her cousin Mary Brown; her niece Barbara Bowles; and her sister-in-law Kitty Ellard. She is also survived by cousins, nephews, family, and friends.
In her selfless fashion, Almeda chose to donate her body to WVSOM. The family welcomes donations in her memory to be given to the Greenbrier County Humane Society.
