He was predeceased by: his parents, Forrest Cleveland Thomas, Sr. and Martha Virginia Carter Thomas; and his siblings, Bertha Reynolds, Forrest C. Thomas, Jr. and Harry Thomas.
He is survived by: his wife Betty; his children, William J. Thomas (Amanda) and Carrie Chapman (John); his grandchildren, Jacob Thomas (Hailley Lesher), Abigail Boone (James), Nicolas Thomas (Lauren), Zachary Mullins (Kiara Phillips), Thomas Mullins (Justice Wood), Autumn Helsinger (Garrett), Virginia Pearl Thomas, Ian Chapman and Dylan Carter; his great grandchildren, Wesley Eugene Helsinger and James D. Boone, III (Trey); and his siblings, Rodney L. Thomas (Natalie) of Texas, Shirley Thomas (Kevin Wagner) of Asbury, Louise Hiser (Frank) of Fairlea, Nancy Baker (Dee) of Alderson and Betty Morgan of Alderson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Fort Springs Missionary Baptist Church AWANA program for children.
