It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Joseph Walkup Sr. of Alderson, West Virginia, who passed away on January 31, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Willie Elmer and Bonnie May Burns Walkup; his son William Joseph "Billy" Walkup, Jr.; and his siblings, Jeff Walkup and Jane Crary.
He is survived by : his wife Rosa Maria Phillips Walkup of Alderson; his daughters, Donna Bryars of St. Robert, MO and Bonnie White (Vince); his siblings, Bobby Walkup (Janet) of Alderson, Ruth Bragg of Huntington, WV and Carol Reed (Gary) of Alderson; and his grandchildren, Taylor Bryars, Caleb White (Amy), Jenni Carpenter (Seth), Dylan White, Mandy Quick (Ryan) and Zac Walkup (Bri). He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
