He was predeceased by: his parents, Norvin Bowyer and Ruth Hurst Bowyer; and his grandparents, Stokes, Ruby Hurst, Earl and Ibra Clinton Bowyer.
He is survived by: his children, Marcella Bowyer Yeater (Barry) of West Union, WV, Melanie Bowyer King of McLean, VA, Melinda Bowyer Debner of Ames, IA and Michael Andrew Bowyer of Alma, WV; his granddaughters, Jennifer Johnson of West Union, WV and Jessica Davis (Jeff) of Salem, WV; his siblings, Beverly Bowyer Dozier (Walter) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Dennis Bowyer of Morgantown, WV; his grandchildren, Amanda Dawn Richards (Isaiah), Shane Andrew Yeater (Brittany), Elisabeth Marie King, Matthew Charles King, Rachel Marie Hohloch (Trevor), Andrew Cole Debner, Sarah Isabelle Debner and Sue Ellen; his great grandchildren, Callie Lynn Richards, Bentlie Marie Richards and Wyatt Isaiah Richards; Thomas Butler, Madison Mambo (Jaden), Zach Davis and Emily Davis.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McCullough Funeral Home (447 W Myles Ave, Pennsboro, WV 26415). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
