He was predeceased by: his parents, Arlie Eugene and Inis Martha Poston; his siblings, William Alan Poston, Arlie Eugene Poston Jr., Kathy Poston, Betty Jean Spears and Patricia Kay Belcher; his parents-in-law, Edison and Mary Ruth Elkins; and his siblings-in-law, Roger Burgess, Jennings Lee Elkins and Alice Thompson.

He is survived by: his wife Ramona Kay Poston of Amherstdale; his children, Charles K. Poston Jr. (Crystal) of Moneta, VA, Mark K. (Lorie Poston) of Rockbridge County, VA and Sandra K. Vance (Shannon) of Bruno; his grandchildren, Makayla Vance, Stephanie Vance, Travis Vance, Chelsey Short and Kevin VanNess; his great grandchildren, Jayden Short, Bryleigh Short, Lucas VanNess, Addison VanNess and Tessa VanNess; his brother-in-law Thomas Belcher Sr.; and his sibling's children, Jennifer Poston, Robin Sue Cline, Lisa Walls, Thomas Belcher Jr. and Jeffrey Belcher. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home, Inc. (115 Market St, Man, WV 25635). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
