She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Berry and Georgia Berry (Pingley); her husband John F. O'Dell; her son Richard Ellington; and her siblings, Freda Clark, Karen Taylor, Helen and Clarence Berry.

She is survived by: her siblings, Neola Berry and Ronnie Berry of Indiana; her children, Belinda Walker (George) of St. Albans, WV, Tim Ellington (Laurinda) of Kanawha City, WV, Sheri Brown (Greg) of Belle, WV and William "Fred" Ellington (Ivon) of Boynton Beach, FL; her daughter-in-law Sue Ellington of Nitro, WV; and her grandchildren, Erica Sanson, Ashton Walker Smith, Rebecca Dillard, Haley Ward, Jeremiah Brown, Ian Ellington and Andy Ellington. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
