It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bertha Jean Stone of Ansted, West Virginia, who passed away on December 26, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Silas O. Wright and Anna Ramey Wright; her husband Bill Stone; and her siblings, Andrew Wright, Anna Mae Weeks and Mavis Aleshire.
She is survived by: her children, William E. "Eddie" Stone of Beckley, WV, Elizabeth Green of Beckley, WV and Virginia C. Surber (David) of Troy, Missouri.; her grandchildren, William E. Stone Jr., Robin Adkins, Heather Green, Jeanna McIntyre, Melissa Surber and Lori Surber; her great grandchildren, Ella McIntyre, Jacob Adkins, Amanda Reid and Joshua Preston; and her great great grandchildren, Knox Reid and Nico Reid.
