He was predeceased by: his mother Muriel N Kirby Elkins; and his siblings, Thelma Ramsey, Audrey Drennen, James "Jimmy" Elkins and Linda Sturm.
He is survived by: his father John K Elkins; and his siblings, Janet Lewis of Ansted, Carolyn Rogers (Fred) of Gauley Bridge and Mark Elkins (Kari) of Ansted. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
