He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Morgan Fitzwater and Emma Edith Patterson Fitzwater; his daughter Sandra Lee Fitzwater; his great grandchild Aidan Neupert; and his siblings, Lowell, Jim, Alfred, John, David Fitzwater, Genieve Lamb, Gathalee Allen and Caroline Jones.

He is survived by: his wife Myrtle Thompson Fitzwater; his children, Linda Osborne (Dwayne), Steve Fitzwater (Lori) and John Fitzwater; his grandchildren, Carissa Osborne, Samantha Hagood and Fonzie Steele Fitzwater; his niece Cindy Stevens; and his sister Donna Bowen.
