She was predeceased by : her son James "Mousey" Lesher; her grandson Andrew Lesher; her former life partner G. Elliott Lesher Sr.; her daughter-in-law Betsy Lesher; her parents, Ruby McKnight and Walter McKnight; and her brothers, Marshall Carte and Granville McKnight.

She is survived by : her children, Dallas "Joe" (Kathy), Wendle (Sue), Jerry "Curt" (June), Dennis "Denny", Lyle (Angie), Elliott Jr. (Terry), Shannon, Jeremy (Casandra), Linda Carte (Steve), Lucille Nickell (Slots) and Angela Pierson (Greg); and her siblings, C. D., Frank, Larry McKnight, Norma Smith and Dorothy McMahon. She is also survived by 33 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, and 18 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ansted Chapel (74 Holley St, Ansted, WV 25812). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
